DINING

The Dining Room is located on the ground floor of the house and opens onto a small verandah and the front garden. The food offered is both Indian and European, served in exquisite collectible china with old, beautifully maintained silverware.

Meals largely use locally sourced ingredients including home grown fruit and vegetables, fresh home-baked bread, marmalade and eggs.

  • We offer only breakfast and dinner. A full, four-course American or Indian style breakfast is included in the tariff
  • We plan our menus according to our guest's preferences.
  • Evening tea includes tea, coffee, a cold drink or cocoa accompanied by a home-baked cake and a vegetarian savoury.
  • Payment for meals and extras may be made at the time of checkout at Sunnymead.
  • We do not provide room service.
  • We do not serve alcohol but guests are welcome to carry their own.
  • Since we cook meals on request, meals ordered but not consumed will be charged at full price.
  • Meals are served in the dining room or alfresco in the garden.

BOOKS AND MOVIE LIBRARY

Sunnymead houses an eclectic collection of books and films. Guests are more than welcome to borrow both for the duration of their stay. The books range from novellas published in the 1920s to the latest in escapist literature. There is also more serious stuff should guests wish to read books of an “improving nature”.

The films on offer include Bollywood Masala, Fellini and Noir, and the TV room offers space for those who wish to curl up and watch.

LAUNDRY

Guest laundry is outsourced and is charged additionally.

CONCIERGE

Sunnymead is happy to offer travel advice, assist with travel arrangements and bookings, make reservations at restaurants and coordinate informed guided tours of the city. All these arrangements are outsourced.

CAR PARKING

Parking for a maximum of four cars is available in our private car park. Should guests chose to avail this facility, car keys may be deposited at the house so as not to inconvenience other guests and block passage.

PACKED MEALS AND PICNIC HAMPERS

Bespoke packed meals and picnic hampers are available on request. We would be delighted to customize a delicious tiffin for you.
